Lost and Found
If your pet is not at our facility, contact all the surrounding facilities, your pet may have wandered further away from home than you might think or it could be possible that your pet was picked up by someone and taken to a different facility.
In addition you might also consider:
- Walking your neighborhood, talk to your neighbors and any other people you may see in the neighborhood and ask if they have seen your pet.
- Place and ad in the local newspaper - check the lost and found sections daily
- Ask if you can place fliers at local stores or businesses.
- Check all surrounding animal shelters daily to make sure your pet is not there.
The impounded animals which enter our facility have been picked up as a stray or found running loose on our City streets. Unclaimed animals which have been held for the initial 5 day holding period and deemed adoptable will be placed up for adoption.
If any animal is determined to be suffering from disease or injury that places the animal in pain or beyond reasonable medical help, the animal may be euthanized immediately. The regular holding time will not apply.
