Universal City is getting a new library facility!
The library will be CLOSING October 1st to pack so we can move to our temporary space.  The location for our temporary space is to be determined.

The last day to check out items is September 10th.
The final day to return all items is September 17th.

If you find items around your house after September 17th, please return them.  If we're closed, please use the book drop by the street or the AV drop by the door.

Please stay posted here for more details as we know them.

Interested in a new library facility?
The Friends of the Universal City Public Library have set up a fund specifically for a new building.  If you're interested in donating, please write a check to Friends of the Universal City Library and in the memo line, notate "Library Building Fund."

Also, the Friends are going to be compiling a book of creative writing by Universal City residents to be published.  The proceeds will go to the Library Building Fund.

Learning Express Library offers resources to prepare users for various learning goals. These include GED prep, SAT, and ACT preparation courses as well as preparing for U.S. Citizenship.  In addition, there are helpful trainings in computer skills, workplace skills, creating resumes and cover letters as well as college entrance essays.  Also offered are helpful courses in skills in elementary level learning through adult learning in math, reading and writing.  Log into your library account on our home page and then click on the Learning Express Library icon.

Signing Savvy
is a self paced way to learn sign language. Log into your library account on our home page and then click the Signing Savvy icon.

Transparent Languages
is a self-paced way to learn over 100 languages in addition to the ability to learn English for 24 different native languages. Log into your library account on our home page and then click the Transparent Languages icon.

Universal Class offers over 500 courses covering subjects including Computer Training, Personal Finance, GED Training, Health Services Training and much more. Free online tutoring in subjects such as English, Math, Science, and Social Studies for grades K-12 as well as help with resumes and job hunting. Help is available 2pm to 11pm Central Standard time.
