Pet Overpopulation is a Serious Problem
Animal Care & Control strongly encourages pet owners to practice responsible pet ownership, to help us, help our homeless animals and our communities and to have their pet spayed or neutered to do their part to reduce the number of homeless and unwanted animals.
Nobody wants these animals to be euthanized, but each and every single day dogs, cats, and litters of puppies and kittens are turned into shelters, or picked up as strays running loose on city streets. Every day animal shelters continue to fight a battle in which they did not create, but instead are left to deal with the pet overpopulation crisis due to irresponsible pet owners. We simply have too many animals and not enough good loving homes. We need the help and support of our community. We cannot overcome this crisis on our own.
