We are so excited to have you join us at the Pumpkin Patch. Due to Covid and social gathering guidelines, we have adjusted the layout of the patch and scheduling of volunteers for everyone's safety. Please read carefully before signing up.

Pumpkin Truck Unloading: Unfortunately, this year we will not be able to host the traditional unloading party with pizza. Instead, the wonderful City crews will unload the truck into piles and you can sign up for a time to come help spread the pumpkins around the patch.

Pumpkin Sorting and Patch Decorating: If you would like to help us prepare the pumpkin patch, this is the place for you! Your group can help with moving pumpkins and hay, decorating the patch or even putting together the displays.

  • Once the pumpkins are delivered, they will be placed in piles around the patch grounds in 5 different sections. Groups/families are invited to sign-up for a slot to come and help place the pumpkins on the pallets in their designated areas.
  • When signing up for a slot, you only need to signup the name of the contact person for the group and indicate how many people are in your group.
  • We ask that each group/family is no larger than 6 people so if your group is bigger, please sign up for multiple slots at the same time. This will have you all working at the same time but in different sections for safety.
  • Please wear closed toe shoes and bring work gloves if possible.
  • Please wear a mask or face covering when social distancing is not possible.

Patch Pick-up: On Mondays, the patch is closed to the public but we are looking for volunteers to help us clean-up.

  • This is open to groups of 6 or less in each time slot.
  • Pick-up could consist of moving pumpkins, pallets, and looking for rotted pumpkins to throw away. (If you ever wanted to do some pumpkin chunkin', this is the place to be.)
  • If your group would like to volunteer for times not available, please email events@uctx.gov.
